Rebuilding Home, Street + Neighbourhood
[In Partnership with Architects for Gaza- Gaza Global University and Global Free Unit]
Rebuilding Home, Street and Neighbourhood brought together displaced Palestinian students and teachers to convene for one month in Cairo and occupied Palestine to explore how to lead the recovery and reconstruction of Gaza through the lens of architecture and urban design.
This unique workshop, designed in collaboration with the Architects for Gaza network [AfG], Office of Displaced Designers [ODD] and Global Free Unit [GFU], resulted in assessed work equivalent to one semester of study.
Recovery and reconstruction efforts must be rooted in local community practices centred on healing the land and its people.
