What is a designer’s responsibility?
We merge the visible and the invisible, turning ideas into spaces for community and collective possibility.
As systems narrow the space for flourishing and widen it for harm, we stand firm as spatial practitioners committed to resistance rooted in design and care. When humanity’s foundations tremble, how do we hold repairing close? At its essence, design begins with imagination—and imagination thrives through collaboration across divides. We first dream of liberation as inevitable. We start with hope.
At ODD, hope is serious work: joyful, collective, and grounded in the belief that resistance must nourish as much as it disrupts. From our first spark in Lesvos in 2016, we’ve grown ever more committed to centering voices historically silenced and championing ethical, decolonial practice. Nine years on, through shared reflection, mutual learning, and collective authorship, we’ve built a web of resistance across geographies and imaginations.
We are grateful to our community; our supporters, partners, alumni, and members, all weaving this work together. Nine years of radical collaboration. Nine years of collective resistance. Nine years of enduring hope.
Here’s to many more years co‑creating just worlds with you. 🧡
With gratitude
The ODD Team
